Maritime Heritage Ecology - Dr Chris McGonigle's Presentation at Southern Maine Community College

Writer: ENDUREENDURE

This presentation was given as an invited contribution to a workshop organised at Southern Maine Community College on Maritime Heritage Ecology (30th and 31st of October, 2023). This workshop was intended to facilitate a participatory approach to help define research questions, objectives, and directions for the emerging field of Maritime Heritage Ecology, and to connect with researchers, managers, educators and participants from around the world.

Ecological modelling will form an important element of the ENDURE project's WP3, which will incorporate approaches to develop current approaches to biological site formation processes at a range of spatial scales throughout the wider study domain. Further, engagement with the wider community of practice will allow for identification of key developments in the field and opportunities to link this work to other developing strands in the international research community.
